Title: Not Recommended2009-08-11T00:00:00
Wang's is conveniently located and occupies a spacious storefront in the Preston Road / Northwest Highway area. I should have been on guard when I entered the restuarant and had the entire place to myself. The dining room is huge, yet ...?

I got the Crab Puff and it was basically all cream cheese. I opened one and found 0 crab in it. The lo mein was basic mall food and the sesame chicken which I see as a sweet dish had a little spice. Over all for the price I was very displeased but it did deliver so I guess that is a plus.

Buddhist Delight: a veggie dish that is wonderful, it doesn't make me miss meat very much at all!Egg Foo Young: this is the first time I tried this dish and it was pretty good, wouldn't mind trying again but I definitely do like the previous item better.

I was in the mood for Egg Drop soup and found this place right down the street. The soup was pretty good and didn't have any extra stuff in it to mess up the flavor. The hot spicy beef was OK and for the price, I could have gotten something from Pei Wei that would have been better. Very nice people and not a bad choice when it comes to soup.

I never used to crave Chinese food until I started ordering from Wang's!The crispy beef is so good that I have a hard time ordering anything elss. The crab rangoons are also a crowd pleaser and they give 6 in an order which is a definite plus. I love their hot mustard too, I only wish they would put more in the bag when we order delivery.

I'm giving 3 stars because to me the food was just run of the mill Chinese food. It was just ok. Will I order it again? Probably not. I had the Cantonese Noodles and they were very dry. Boyfriend had Kung Pao and he liked it. The eggrolls were soggy but had ok flavor. I don't want to be debbie downer, but I just have to in this case.
Title: Recent Unsatisfactory Order12/4/2013 4:18:03 PM
Hello,I placed an order for shrimp spring rolls and cashew chicken this afternoon, and would like to let you know how disappointed I am in the food you allowed me to go home with. For prices that are comparable to other restaurants, I was astonished by how many corners you cut with the food. My entree was almost entirely vegetables when I ordered a chicken dish, and the chicken itself isn't high quality, so I don't expect to be provided with less chicken than other restaurants would for the same price, AND it be lower quality. I submitted a Yelp review to your page, including photos to back up what I wrote. If you're truly concerned about the quality of the food you turn out to customers and long term success, I would really appreciate some sort of reply to remedy or at least acknowledge this complaint. Thank you.

I normally don't take the time to leave negative reviews for a restaurant, but this is an instance where I feel the need to warn people not to go here.First of all, I'll point out that I haven't ordered from Wang's the few times I have expecting a gourmet meal, or anything close to it. I do however, expect a reasonably tasty and priced meal. I ordered and picked up my food no longer than 45 minutes ago, and after starting the entree, it is currently sitting in front of me and I don't even want it, and I haven't eaten since 10am this morning. That's how bad it is.My ordered consisted of the shrimp spring roll appetizer, and the almond chicken. I ate the spring rolls, which come with a peanut sauce, and they were pretty good. They seemed fresh, were larger than average, and came with plenty of sauce. It's all downhill from here. The almond chicken. Where do I start. The first thing I noticed was that there was almost no chicken to be found. Nearly the entire dish is vegetables, and I would estimate maybe 10-15% was actually chicken. When I order this dish I expect chicken, almonds, water chestnuts, and maybe another vegetable or two such as bamboo shoots or celery. Besides chicken and almonds, the ingredients included water chestnuts, carrots, celery, bamboo shoots, and mushrooms. On top of that, much of the celery is old enough to the point where it is entirely white and shows not even a hint of green tint. They would almost pass as onions. I wouldn't normally have a problem with such a wide array of vegetables, but it's obvious that the restaurant includes so many so they can give you only 10% meat and if you have a wide variety it's less obvious then if there were only to give you 90% carrots. The point is that when people order a chicken dish, they expect a chicken dish, not a near-vegetarian one.The chicken itself. Where I can find it, the chicken is in very small chunks, is not white meat, and is certainly not from the breast or any part you would normally eat (see photo). It has a very strange taste which multiple other reviews have mentioned. I lived in Hong Kong for 4 months and understand that the best cuts of meat aren't always used, but this is laughable. What makes it worse is that if they are going to cut corners by using poor quality and cheaper cuts of chicken, they can at least give a respectable amount.I have never felt more ripped off when it comes to a meal than this, and am astonished that that any establishment isn't embarrassed to send their customers home with a meal like this. I for one will never be going back to Wang's, and for those of you that are reading this far I strongly urge you to do the same.
