Title: Recent Unsatisfactory Order12/4/2013 4:18:03 PM
Hello,I placed an order for shrimp spring rolls and cashew chicken this afternoon, and would like to let you know how disappointed I am in the food you allowed me to go home with. For prices that are comparable to other restaurants, I was astonished by how many corners you cut with the food. My entree was almost entirely vegetables when I ordered a chicken dish, and the chicken itself isn't high quality, so I don't expect to be provided with less chicken than other restaurants would for the same price, AND it be lower quality. I submitted a Yelp review to your page, including photos to back up what I wrote. If you're truly concerned about the quality of the food you turn out to customers and long term success, I would really appreciate some sort of reply to remedy or at least acknowledge this complaint. Thank you.

I normally don't take the time to leave negative reviews for a restaurant, but this is an instance where I feel the need to warn people not to go here.First of all, I'll point out that I haven't ordered from Wang's the few times I have expecting a gourmet meal, or anything close to it. I do however, expect a reasonably tasty and priced meal. I ordered and picked up my food no longer than 45 minutes ago, and after starting the entree, it is currently sitting in front of me and I don't even want it, and I haven't eaten since 10am this morning. That's how bad it is.My ordered consisted of the shrimp spring roll appetizer, and the almond chicken. I ate the spring rolls, which come with a peanut sauce, and they were pretty good. They seemed fresh, were larger than average, and came with plenty of sauce. It's all downhill from here. The almond chicken. Where do I start. The first thing I noticed was that there was almost no chicken to be found. Nearly the entire dish is vegetables, and I would estimate maybe 10-15% was actually chicken. When I order this dish I expect chicken, almonds, water chestnuts, and maybe another vegetable or two such as bamboo shoots or celery. Besides chicken and almonds, the ingredients included water chestnuts, carrots, celery, bamboo shoots, and mushrooms. On top of that, much of the celery is old enough to the point where it is entirely white and shows not even a hint of green tint. They would almost pass as onions. I wouldn't normally have a problem with such a wide array of vegetables, but it's obvious that the restaurant includes so many so they can give you only 10% meat and if you have a wide variety it's less obvious then if there were only to give you 90% carrots. The point is that when people order a chicken dish, they expect a chicken dish, not a near-vegetarian one.The chicken itself. Where I can find it, the chicken is in very small chunks, is not white meat, and is certainly not from the breast or any part you would normally eat (see photo). It has a very strange taste which multiple other reviews have mentioned. I lived in Hong Kong for 4 months and understand that the best cuts of meat aren't always used, but this is laughable. What makes it worse is that if they are going to cut corners by using poor quality and cheaper cuts of chicken, they can at least give a respectable amount.I have never felt more ripped off when it comes to a meal than this, and am astonished that that any establishment isn't embarrassed to send their customers home with a meal like this. I for one will never be going back to Wang's, and for those of you that are reading this far I strongly urge you to do the same.

These guys are CROOKS!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!!!My first experience here was terrible. I ordered about $200 worth of food for work and it arrived missing one part of the order. When I called about this the employee on the phone accused me of lying and refused to bring the rest of my order.I vowed to never order from them again. Then recently, I was caught in a bind and had to order from them again. I walked into the restaurant and ordered two VERY SIMPLE DISHES for takeout, one of which was vegetarian lo mein. I got home and realized that my "vegetarian" lo mein contained pork, beef, chicken and shrimp. I called about this and whoever I spoke to seemed to already know that they gave us the wrong order. She politely told me that they would send someone right away with the correct order. Two hours passed and our correct order had still not arrived. I called them back and they seemed confused about who I was and why I was calling. I told them that I just wanted my money back when the driver got here. The manager said "that's fine" and that the driver would be here in 10 minutes. Another hour passes. I called back to check on the status of the delivery driver and I was promptly hung up on. I called back and once they realize who I am, I am put on hold for 5 minutes! I finally speak to someone and he says, "we cancelled your order." I asked him why he did that and he said that it was because I asked for a refund. I explained to him that I had not received my refund and I needed to either get my FOOD or my MONEY BACK. He told me that they "shouldn't have to go to such trouble" for me and I should have checked my food before I left the restaurant. As he was hollering at me on the phone, I told him that I would just call the police and they could sort it out. He then told me that he would bring it. However, we ultimately never got our food delivered and never got our money back. They lie and treat their customers (well at least me) like dirt. All irritation aside, their food tastes pretty average and considering the quality, the food is a bit on the pricey side.

We LOVE Wang's!!! Not sure why there are unfavorable reviews, but judging by the PeiWei comment, I can only assume the negative reviewers are neophytes in Chinese food. I have lived in Seattle and NYC and Wang's could go up against Chinatown in either city any day.

Save yourself time, money and aggravation and simply avoid at all costs. Average to below average food with bad customer service and even worse management that lies and is indifferent.Ordered Moo Shoo Pork and instead what I really got Moo Shoo Carrots and Cabbage. There was so little pork, I honestly thought they sent the wrong order. So I called with the intent of just letting them know they messed up and expected a partial credit next time. Instead the managers argues with me that the order is right and that there is some pork in there. I said in other places, they serve Pork with Moo Shoo Pork. He says, that's other places, not here.So the manager basically admitted others places are better and this place stinks. Told him that's all I needed to know to avoid this place in the future, and he hangs up.I called my credit card company to get my entire order credited back to me. No use for this place in the future, and I recommend you follow suit too, or this is what you'll encounter.

Tried Wangs today.Got the garlic chicken. The sauce was cloyingly sweet, the vegetables soggy, and I'm not altogether sure it was chicken. My coworker thinks it was pork, whatever.Yuck!

Gotta be honest here - lousy lunch pretty much. Ate here yesterday and ordered the Kung Pao because, you know, it's my first time here, and how can you screw up Kung Pao? Well, it wasn't exactly screwed up, it's just that I've had much, much better, and not far from this place either! You've got Pei Wei less than a block, and the REAL Howard Wang's just down the street! This place was absolutely unremarkable except possibly that there were Asians in the kitchen and a white guy was the bus boy. I would definitely skip it.

I've never eaten inside, but Wang's is my go-to delivery place if I get in the mood for some (greasy) Chinese but don't want to leave my place, or if I'm sick. The crab rangoons are REALLY good. And their wonton soup hits the spot every time I'm under the weather. The entrees I've ordered have been okay. The Moo Shu chicken and pancakes were fine, and the garlic chicken was fine, too. Neither one blew me away, but I liked them enough to finish the leftovers the next day!The delivery drivers have always been fairly quick and nice, and the food is very reasonably priced. I'll keep ordering delivery from here whenever I get a hankering for Chinese!
